Two days ago, I finally submitted my Japan visa application. I am quite nervous because the last time I applied for a Japanese visa was back in 2005. And that was for an exchange program so we were pretty much sure that we wouldn’t be denied. This time though, I’ll be going as a regular tourist with absolutely no idea on how to get around Osaka. My host sister Kana won’t be able play tour guide since she’s quite busy with med school all the way in Tokyo. If ever my friend and I get our visas, we still have tons of things to prepare. But I’m quite ready to get lost in Japan. :))
Visa worries aside, we still have to tackle the problem that is the concert tickets. Tbh, I’m already happy that I have the chance to go back to Japan. But we’ll be there in time for the Osaka leg of Tohoshinki’s TONE tour (and the release of their latest Japanese single ‘STILL’). So we’re hoping to catch the concert and maybe stalk Yunho and Changmin (if they decide to promote the new single in Osaka).
If my luck fails me and I end up getting denied, I already have PLAN B in place. LOL. Instead of going to Japan for Tohoshinki, I’ll be going to Singapore for my favorite J-rock group, L’Arc~en~Ciel. I’ve been a fan of L’Arc waaaaay before I even knew who Tohoshinki were. So to finally see them would be beyond brilliant. Of course, traveling to Singapore would be loads easier (and cheaper). So looking at my options, I’d say it’s still a win-win situation. If both trips don’t push through, at least I’ll have my money intact and ready by the time SM announces TVXQ’s world tour dates. :D Yes, I’d like to think of myself as an optimist. Haha
Although I have no qualms being a Filipino, having a Filipino citizenship can be quite a hassle. Planning for overseas trips becomes problematic because the countries I really want to visit require visas. :| Japan, South Korea, etc etc. I haven’t even been out of Asia yet. /sigh
I am currently watching Downton Abbey and I am loving the series. :) I love how I feel so many different emotions for each of the characters. Sometimes I feel like I will dislike some of them forever. But then they do something that just warms the heart and ah…I can’t fully explain it. It’s a wonderful series and I look forward to finishing season 2. ^^
